Professional Insect Control

Above and Below Surface Control

DuoCide combines two professional-grade insecticides in a unique multi-mode formula to eliminate pests both above and below the lawn's surface.

DG Technology

DuoCide is made with our patented Dispersing Granule (DG) Technology. When this product comes into contact with water, each granule breaks down into thousands of micro-particles, helping move the product down into the soil profile more efficiently.

Small Particle Size

DuoCide features an extremely small particle size. This means you get more complete and uniform coverage, which boosts the product’s effectiveness.

When to Apply DuoCide

DuoCide can be used on all turf types. The application timing and rates for DuoCide depends on the pest(s) being targeted.

Surface Pests

Surface pests are above the thatch layer. These types of pests include ants, spiders, ticks, billbugs chinch bugs and more. DuoCide should be applied when these pests or turf damage from them first appears.

Subsurface Pests

Subsurface pests are below the thatch layer in the soil. These types of pests include white grubs, mole crickets, june beetles, armyworms and more. DuoCide should be applied 10-14 days after egg-laying and/or when turf damage is first noticed.

Table showing DuoCide lawn pest control application rates for armyworms, billbugs, chinch bugs, grubs, and other pests with recommended pounds per acre and per 1,000 square feet.

Water In

DuoCide must be watered in immediately after application. Do not enter or allow others to enter the treated area (except those involved in the watering-in) until the watering-in is completed and the area has dried.

Pro Tips for Best Results

Check The Forecast

Avoid applying before heavy rainfall so particles don't get washed away.

Mow First

Clear any lawn debris and make it easier for particles to reach the soil.

Clean Up

Sweep or blow product off the driveways/sidewalks back into the lawn.

Water Deep

Your lawn will need at least 0.2 inches of water.

Spreader Settings

We recommend using a broadcast spreader. These spreader settings are a guide. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Be sure to calibrate your spreader before every application.

"Usually my go too for highly effective overall lawn pest management, use it a couple times a year but unfortunately the last bag I have received seemed to have been a bad bag this go round. Q&A

Will this hurt or kill earth worms 🪱 and the beneficial insects?: This product is not labeled to kill earthworms, but this product can have negative effects on earth worms. We do not recommend applying this product if you have insects you'd like to keep in the soil.
My package came from Amazon and the bags corner was not properly sealed, allowing some granules to be free in the box and get out of the sealed box. Will the faulty sealing compromise the efficacy of my product?: The product will not lose any effectiveness if exposed! If your bag arrives damaged, please reach out to info@andersonslawn.com so we can send a new bag.
Can it be applied when temp is 90 plus degrees: Apply Duocide to a dry lawn, and water in after application. You should not have a negative impact due to high temperatures.
How often should you apply Duocide?: Repeat Duocide treatments as needed up to 3 times per year, but no more than once every seven days.
When should I apply this product? Noting I had grubs last summer and applied Grub X by Scotts and also dug up 25% of my yard to get ride of the grubs. However I am still very concerned I didn't get them all. It is now April 11, 2025. Please advise best time to apply. Thank you, James Kipp West Caldwell, New Jersey: DuoCide should be applied when you have grubs active in your lawn to help treat them. In your area, it is most common to have grub activity in April-May and again in Aug-Oct. GrubOut Plus Lawn Food 17-0-3 can be applied Jun-Aug to help prevent grubs.
