Quick-release nitrogen provides an immediate boost of nutrients to your lawn, resulting in fast green-up and visible results within days of application and watering it in. It’s especially beneficial when your grass needs a color enhancement before an event, an early-spring jumpstart or a final boost of nutrition at the end of the season.

PGF Complete is a combination of quick- and slow-release nitrogen. It feeds for up to 8 weeks and should be re-applied every 6-8 weeks. PGF Balanced is all quick-release nitrogen. It feeds for us to 6 weeks and should be re-applied every 4-6 weeks.

The difference is that PGF Balanced does not contain any humic acid. Humic acid is overall beneficial to all soil types and, when applied alongside fertilizer, helps enhance nutrient uptake.

When applying synthetic fertilizers in high temps, there is always some the risk of burning the lawn. Do not apply to lawns that are already stressed from heat or drought. To reduce your risk of fertilizer burn, keep your lawn on a consistent watering schedule and water fertilizer applications in thoroughly. You can also apply at a lower rate to help reduce the risk of burn.

Once product has been applied, watered-in, and the lawn has then completely dried, pets are safe to enter back out onto the lawn.

I have a 150' row of arbs and I would like to use this product. Can it be spread around the base of the plants? If so about how much per plant. I can't do the math around 3.8 lbs per 1000 sq.ft. Actually would I measure the depth of the row and then how long it is and figure out the sq ft from there?: Yes, this product can be applied around the bases of the trees. You should measure your square footage and then apply 3.6 lbs./1,000 sq. ft..
How much time does PGF balance need to set in before heavy rainfall returns?: PGF Balanced should receive at least 0.2 inches of water after application. Avoid applying directly before heavy rainfall. If you have heavy rainfall coming in the next few days, you may apply PGF Balanced, water it in and then let it dry ahead of time. It will be set in the lawn before the heavy rainfall.
