It keeps feeding your turf for up to 6 weeks, and you can reapply every 4 to 6 weeks to keep your lawn looking its best.
Don't apply to stressed turf and don't overapply—doing so can lead to turf burn.

Doc is talking a light coat almost weekly but never says what the light rate is: "Spoon-feeding" is a method of applying fertilizer to your lawn in small, frequent doses rather than all at once. To use this method with The Andersons DGL, you take the standard monthly application rate of 3.6 pounds per 1,000 square feet and break it down by your preferred schedule. If you choose to fertilize your lawn biweekly, you will cut that standard rate in half and apply 1.8 pounds per 1,000 square feet every two weeks. If you prefer to fertilize your lawn weekly, you will divide the rate even further and apply 0.9 pounds per 1,000 square feet every single week.
Can you clarify the rationale for removing iron from The Andersons DGL formulation? What drove that change, and how does it impact performance? Specifically, does the product still deliver the same level of deep green color, or is its current role primarily focused on supporting growth through nitrogen rather than color enhancement?: The decision to remove the iron from the DGL product was due to occasional occurrences of the iron oxidizing in the bag. While it didn't damage the turf and eventually went away, we were receiving enough complaints which ultimately played into the decision to remove it from the formula.
