Spoon Feeding

GreenShocker can be used as a supplement to your current fertilizer program. Golf courses have used supplemental fertilizers for decades in a method called spoon feeding. This is especially helpful when fast results are needed, such as during the spring and summer months.

How to Apply GreenShocker

GreenShocker 7-1-2 is safe for all turf types. It should be applied when turf is actively growing. Do not apply during periods of extended drought unless irrigation is available and used.
Important – Due to the iron content in this formula, particles left on driveways and sidewalks may leave stains. Be sure to sweep stray particles back onto your lawn.
Immediately water in with a minimum of 0.2 inches. For best results, water the lawn every 12 hours for the next 48 hours. Skip watering if rain occurs.

For Cool Season Lawns

Summer: Apply at 2.5 – 3 lbs. per 1,000 / sq. ft. and reapply every 4 weeks.
Spring & Fall: Apply at 3 – 4 lbs. per 1,000 / sq ft. and reapply every 2-3 weeks.

For Warm-Season Lawns

Summer: Apply at 3 – 4.5 lbs. per 1,000 / sq ft. and reapply every 3-4 weeks.
Spring and Fall: Apply at 3 – 4.5 lbs. per 1,000 / sq. feet. and reapply every 2-3 weeks. Stop applying in fall 3 weeks prior to any cold weather approaching.

"Not only is the % ratio on point, I cannot buy fertilizer anywhere, and I mean anywhere, with the fine, fine granules that Anderson’s has. Why does it matter??? Best I can explain, imagine seasoning one steak with one tablespoon of pepper that is really coarsely ground. If it’s really coarsely ground meaning large pieces, you will not be able to season your steak evenly as you can with a finer grind. Same amount of pepper, but instead of one piece here and another piece there, many smaller pieces dispersed evenly over the same area. Hope this makes sense. Anderson fertilizers have a much, much finer/uniform grind which produces amazing results. Anderson is the one, no other. Case closed."

Will greenshocker burn my lawn?: Although GreenShocker is a mild nitrogen fertilizer, it is all quick-release and does have the potential to burn in high heat or if used in large quantities.
Does there need to be a time separation between the application of green shocker and pgf complete?: Yes, you should wait at least 2 weeks in between applications of these two products.
How does Green Shocker compare to DGL? Is one preferred over the other two green up a summer lawn in Phoenix, AZ?: GreenShocker is a 7-1-2 fertilizer with 0.5% iron. DGL is a 25-0-0 fertilizer with 6% iron. Both contain all quick-release nitrogen. GreenShocker is recommended for the summer rather than DGL because DGL can cause turf burn if applied on a hot and dry day.
Do you ship green shocker to Canada?: We're sorry, we only ship within the continental U.S. (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico).
