Apply Alone

Grass Guard DG 9-0-0 can be applied as an all-natural pre-emergent and fertilizer application in your existing lawn care regimen. It should be applied in the early spring or fall before weeds germinate.

Spreader Settings

We recommend using a broadcast spreader. These spreader settings are a guide. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Be sure to calibrate your spreader before every application.

Since Grass Guard is all-natural, pets are safe to enter back out onto the lawn immediately after application.

Grass Guard will prevent crabgrass, foxtail, dandelion, barnyard grass and goosegrass. It does not treat existing weeds.

Just like Grass Guard stops weeds from sprouting, it can also prevent grass seed from germinating.

After seeding, wait 45 days to apply Grass Guard.

Do not apply for 60-90 days before seeding (rate dependent).

Grass Guard is safe to use on all turf types including Bermuda, Fescue, St. Augustine, Ryegrass, Zoysia, Bluegrass, Bentgrass and Centipede.
