When to Apply PGF Complete

PGF Complete can be applied to all turf types any time it is actively growing. It contains quick-release nitrogen so it is especially beneficial to apply it in the spring and fall or before an event when you want a quick green-up. PGF Complete feeds for up to 8 weeks and can be reapplied at 6-8 week intervals.

"2nd time application of this product in two years, along with other Anderson products at appropriate times. Started with this and Humichar on new el toro zoysia sod 12 months ago, moved up to 24-6-12 early summer then more Humichar plus 18-0-4 Barricade in Sept. Started Barricade treatment late fall & winter then 18-0-4 Barricade Spring. 24-6-12 again June 1 and now the 16-4-8 in this hot summer, delayed application by frequent, heavy rains. September will follow with 18-0-4 Barricade then resume same Spring '27 schedule. I treat broadleaf as needed w/ selective herbicide spot treatments with 2-gallon backpack sprayer."

"I use this fertilizer / amendment every season and it has given me excellent results on a new lawn after new construction where the soil quality was mostly clay and rock. Over the first 3 years I used this product exclusively, with a couple of other amendment's from The Andersons (HumiChar) as well. Now in my fourth year it's part of my more advanced schedule for each season, but I can attest that my soil quality has dramatically improved. My lawn is drought tolerant with deep roots. When I have pest control or landscaping done I always hear feedback of how my lawn has the best soil in my neighborhood. Recently, I had some trees installed recently and the color of the soil that came out up to 18 inches down was a dark rich color. It also absorbs heavy rainfall much better compared to my neighbors, with little to no pooling."

Does this product help with any control such as crabgrass, clover, and other typical weeds of the north east: PGF Complete is a fertilizer product that will provide nutrition to your turf grass. It does not contain any herbicide that will help control existing weeds in your lawn.
I put down the PFG Complete 2 weeks ago on my St Augustine grass in South Florida at a low rate. We have had daily heavy rain since I put it down. The grass has not shown any new growth or color change. How do I know that the product is working on the grass? When should I put down an additional fall fertilizer if this one was washed out of the soil by all the rains? Thank you.: Thanks for reaching out! Typically, you should wait 6-8 weeks to apply another fertilizer after applying PGF Complete. But, since you have had a substantial amount of rain and temperatures are starting to cool, you may apply a fall fertilizer 3-4 weeks from when you applied the PGF Complete.
Is it advisable to apply this fertilizer in August?. I live in GA and it can get hot and humid in summer.: Yes, however, we do not recommend applying fertilizer in temperatures above 85 degrees.
I'm considering your subscription option of receiving a product every 12 months and if I place the order now would the first shipment be sent immediately?: Yes, it will be shipped within 1-2 business days.
How do I know when I have watered in .2 inches?: A good way of testing how much water you used with your irrigation system/sprinkler is by setting a tuna can in the lawn while you are watering. The tuna can easily allows you to see how much water the lawn is getting.
