When To Apply

Q4® Plus Turf Herbicide should be applied when weeds are young, actively growing, and easy to control. Ideal application times are during spring and early summer when crabgrass, yellow nutsedge, and other broadleaf weeds begin to emerge. Avoid applying during drought stress or extreme heat, as this can reduce effectiveness and risk turf injury. Always check the weather forecast to ensure there’s no rain expected for at least 24 hours after application for best results.

PRO TIPS

  • Apply to dry turf. Make sure grass is dry before spraying to help the product stick and absorb evenly.
  • Avoid mowing two days before and two days after.
  • Water 24 hours before application and 24 hours after application.
  • Granular fertilizer applications can be made before application or 24 hours after application.
  • Do not apply when temperatures are above 90°F
  • For newly seeded areas: Delay application of this product to grass seedlings until after the second or third mowing, or 28 days after emergence.
  • Seeding after application: Wait at least one week after application before reseeding or overseeding. For Kentucky Bluegrass, wait at least 14 days after application before reseeding or overseeding.
  • PPE is recommended while applying (rubber/plastic boots, gloves, long pants, long sleeves, nitrile gloves, and goggles/glasses)
