Lawn Care Made Easy

Six-Step Program

The Andersons Lawn Program Plus comes with six products to keep your weed control, fertilizer and grub control needs covered all season long.

Buy, Apply, Enjoy

Your Andersons Lawn Program Plus will ship all at once and be delivered together. Once you receive the program, apply the products at the appropriate times and watch your lawn flourish.

When to Apply

Pre-Emergent Weed Prevention

Kickstart your lawn with Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food 26-0-6 pre-emergent weed control and fertilizer combo. It helps wake up your lawn from winter dormancy while stopping weeds like crabgrass, foxtail, and goosegrass before they sprout. Apply in early spring before weeds germinate for best results.

End your season with Barricade® pre-emergent weed control to prevent winter weeds like crabgrass and poa annua from sprouting over the winer. Apply when soil temperatures are starting to go below 70 degrees in the fall for best results.

Fertilization

Give your lawn the strength it needs to handle summer heat and stress with Lawn Food 28-0-12. This fertilizer’s mix of quick- and slow-release nitrogen provides a fast green-up and steady feeding for up to 8 weeks. The best time to apply this product is June through August.

Help your lawn bounce back from summer wear and tear with Fall Lawn Food 24-0-14. It’s packed with potassium for winter preparation, plus iron and sulfur for a rich, green color. A strong finish to the year sets your lawn up for success next spring. The best time to apply this product is September through November.

Post-Emergent Weed Control

Take control of stubborn weeds with Weed & Feed 24-0-16 post-emergent herbicide, tackling over 250 types of weeds like dandelions, clover, and chickweed. At the same time, the 24-0-16 formula feeds your lawn to make it thicker, greener, and more resilient. Apply in the spring when you have weeds in your lawn and air temperatures are above 60° F.

Grub Control

Protect your lawn from grub damage with GrubOut Plus Lawn Food 17-0-3. A single application feeds the turf while preventing damage from grubs, ants, mole crickets, beetles, mites, chinch bugs, and more. For best results, apply GrubOut Plus 17-0-3 before grubs and mole crickets hatch. Application window is April-June for best results.

Spreader Settings

We recommend using a broadcast spreader. These spreader settings are a guide. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Be sure to calibrate your spreader before every application.
